After the 3-0 Galatasaray defeat, Fenerbahçe decided to hold an election. Sadettin Saran signaled he would not be a candidate, while ahead of the June 6-7 congress, following Mehmet Ali Aydınlar and Barış Göktürk, Hakan Safi's candidacy turned the presidential race into a three-way competition.

After the Galatasaray defeat, Fenerbahçe moved away from the championship race, and the decision for an extraordinary election has been formalized. In the yellow-navy club, President Sadettin Saran announced that an Extraordinary General Assembly with elections will be held on June 6-7.

SARAN WILL NOT BE A CANDIDATE

In his statement, Sadettin Saran clearly stated that he will not be a candidate in the election. This decision is considered the strongest signal that a new era will begin at the club.

NUMBER OF CANDIDATES INCREASES TO 3

Presidential candidates are also becoming clear before the election. Mehmet Ali Aydınlar and Barış Göktürk, who previously announced their candidacies, have now been joined by Hakan Safi. Thus, the presidential race at Fenerbahçe has become a three-candidate contest.

ELECTION RACE HEATS UP

As competition rises within the community with the increase in candidates, projects and promises have become a matter of curiosity. In the coming period, candidates are expected to announce their plans for the club's future.

CRITICAL DATE: JUNE 6-7

The extraordinary congress to be held at Fenerbahçe will determine the club's new management. The election result is expected to be decisive for both the sporting and administrative future of the yellow-navy club.
