In Nevşehir, the evening call to prayer was recited 20 minutes late, and in a statement from the Provincial Mufti's Office, it was stated that "the inability to hear the call to prayer due to technical issues did not affect the fast."
THE CALL TO PRAYER WAS RECITED 20 MINUTES LATE
The evening call to prayer, which was supposed to be recited at 19:06, was recited 20 minutes late due to a technical malfunction. In a statement from the Provincial Mufti's Office, it was expressed that the call to prayer could not be heard due to a system malfunction, and those who broke their fast at 19:06 did not have their fast invalidated.
A TECHNICAL MALFUNCTION OCCURRED IN THE SYSTEM
It was stated in the announcement that the iftar time began at 19:06, and the inability to hear the call to prayer due to technical issues did not affect the fast: "As the public is aware, our calls to prayer in Nevşehir have been recited for many years using a 'central call to prayer system.' The central call to prayer system is located at Alibey Mosque. This evening, our staff member Halil Arı intended to open the central call to prayer system and recite the call to prayer at iftar time, but although the technical issue was intervened in a short time, the call to prayer could only be heard from our minarets in the following minutes. Since the fast was not broken before the time, the citizens' fasts were not invalidated. Therefore, there is no situation that would require them to make up for or atone for their fasts. We respectfully announce to the public with the hope that our fasts are accepted."
