The automotive giant Ford is preparing to raise its prices due to ongoing global tariff wars. Reports indicate that the company is waiting for the summer months to make a decision that will lead to increased costs in the automotive sector and result in consumers facing higher prices.
The effects of global trade wars are gradually becoming apparent. The decision by U.S. President Donald Trump to impose additional tariffs on Chinese and European car manufacturers has raised significant concerns in the U.S. domestic market. Automotive companies are discussing price increases to cover costs. The first step in this regard came from Ford.
PRICE INCREASES WILL BE REAL BY THE END OF JUNE
In a statement from Ford Motor, a signal of price increases was given if Trump does not back down from this tariff war. In a note sent to dealers, it was stated, "We anticipate the need to make adjustments to vehicle prices in the future, which is expected to occur with May production." It was reported that the prices of vehicles currently in inventory will not change, but there will be an increase in the prices of vehicles that will be available in stores by the end of June. On the other hand, Ford's move has led to speculation that other major players in the automotive sector may take similar steps.
