In Diyarbakır, a doctor at Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital was assaulted by the patient's father and brother for referring a patient brought to the emergency room to psychiatry. The father and son, who threw a glass, thermos, mug, toaster, and chair at the doctor in the assistant's break room, were taken into custody.
In Diyarbakır, a violence incident against a doctor occurred at Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital. Doctor Haçım Hizol referred a 19-year-old patient brought to the emergency room to the psychiatry outpatient clinic with a suspicion of "conversion disorder."
FATHER AND SON ASSAULTED THE DOCTOR
Angered by this situation, the patient's father and brother entered the assistant's break room. Here, the father and son verbally abused and threatened Doctor Haçım Hizol, assaulting him by throwing a glass, thermos, mug, sandwich maker, and chair.
THEY WERE DETAINED
Hizol obtained a medical report for the assault and filed a complaint, while the two suspects were detained.
In his statement, Doctor Haçım Hizol said, "Since a psychiatric evaluation was recommended, the father and son came to the break room and assaulted me. They threatened and verbally abused me. The father threw a glass and thermos at me. After the white code, the individuals were detained by the authorities."
