BRUISES AND MARKS OF ASSAULT FOUND ON HER BODY
The incident occurred on the evening of March 11 in the rural Poyraz neighborhood of Mazıdağı. Zuhal Sayyar was shot at home. Health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the address upon notification from her relatives. The lifeless body of Sayyar, who was determined to have passed away, was taken to Mardin Training and Research Hospital for an autopsy. Initial examinations revealed marks of assault and bruises on Sayyar's body. As part of the investigation, Zuhal's brother H.S. was detained. While H.S.'s procedures were ongoing, their father A.S. was also detained yesterday. Meanwhile, Zuhal's body, which was taken by her family after the autopsy, was buried in the family cemetery in Mazıdağı.
DAY BEFORE THE INCIDENT, HE HAD BEATEN HIS DAUGHTER WITH A HOSE
Zuhal's brother H.S. stated in his testimony that he was asleep at the time of the incident and woke up to the sound of a gunshot. Father A.S. confessed that he had beaten his daughter with a hose the day before the incident. After the procedures, the father and son were sent to court, where they were brought before the judge with a request for arrest after the prosecutor's interrogation. The court decided to arrest father A.S. for the crime of 'intentional injury,' while his son H.S. was released under judicial control. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
