INFLATION RATES FOR BONUSES WILL BE CLEAR
After items such as pension increases and pension promotion payments, millions are now focused on the holiday bonus for retirees. So, will there be an increase in the holiday bonus, which rose to 3,000 TL last year? While retirees are starting to calculate the increase in the holiday bonus, the formulas on the table have also become clear. In this regard, the details of the 6-month inflation and annual inflation are prominent. Here are the potential figures for retirees' holiday bonuses according to those rates.
3,500 LIRA POSSIBLE ACCORDING TO 6-MONTH INFLATION
There are different formulas on the table for the holiday bonus for retirees. A decision is expected to be made regarding the anticipated figure in the coming weeks. Retirees received a raise of 15.75% based on the 6-month inflation in January. If an increase is made at this rate, the bonus will rise to 3,472 lira. If this is rounded up, the bonus amount will reach 3,500 lira. The total bonus for two holidays will be 7,000 lira.
4,500 LIRA POSSIBLE ACCORDING TO 6-MONTH INFLATION
Another scenario is based on annual inflation. If the holiday bonus is calculated according to the 2024 inflation figures, different amounts will emerge. According to TÜİK data, the inflation rate for 2024 was 44.38%. If the bonus is increased by this rate, it will rise to 4,331 lira. If this is also rounded up, the figure of 4,500 lira may emerge. Last year, there was a 50% increase in the bonus. If a similar increase is made this year, the figure of 4,500 lira may also be possible.
WHEN WILL THE BONUSES BE PAID?
Retirees will receive the first bonus in March. The second bonus payment will be deposited into accounts in June. As of March 1, everyone receiving a pension will also be able to receive the Ramadan holiday bonus. Those who apply for retirement by the end of February will be able to benefit from the bonus.
