A man who had iron embedded in his chest was taken to the hospital in Hatay. Due to the inability of the healthcare workers to remove the iron, fire brigade teams had to enter the operating room. An incident occurred in the Dörtyol district of Hatay that could rival film scenes. A man named H.A., who had iron lodged in his chest cavity, was treated in the hospital after the initial intervention by health teams at the scene.

When health workers at Dörtyol State Hospital could not remove the iron by their own means, the firefighting teams of Hatay Metropolitan Municipality also joined the man's surgery. The iron in the man's body was removed without causing harm to him, through a spiral cutting method that took nearly half an hour.
It was learned that the man's treatment in the hospital is ongoing.
