After the death of Sena Düzgün, a second-year student at Dicle University Faculty of Theology, who was found hanging from a tree in the garden of the Oncology Hospital in Diyarbakır on May 27, a significant development occurred.
“NOT SUITABLE FOR HERE,” THEY SAID, HER GRAVE WAS MOVED
The young girl's initial burial at Mardinkapı Cemetery was moved to Çiftehavuz Cemetery by the teams of the Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Cemetery Department after someone said, “Not suitable for here.” While no official explanation was made regarding the reason for the grave's relocation, the decision became a topic of discussion on social media.
SHE HAD LEFT A SUICIDE NOTE
The police found a suicide note at the scene during their investigations. The note, believed to have been written by Sena Düzgün, mentioned the name Ahmet, and it was claimed that this name referred to Research Assistant A.P., who worked in the same faculty, and that the two had a romantic relationship.
SHE HAD POINTED TO HER TEACHER
The note included the following statements: “Give all my clothes to charity. Donate my books to the university, my toys to the orphanage, and the fish to Ahmet. Let nothing remain of me in this world. I do not want a single flower on my grave. I do not want even a gravestone. No one should stay at my grave for more than 5 minutes. Those who want to cry should go home, including my mother. Everyone should smoke a cigarette at my funeral. And the main issue is that Ahmet should never come to my grave. My phone password is 194650, do whatever you want.”
YÖK ASSIGNED AN INSPECTOR
Meanwhile, it was learned that the Higher Education Council (YÖK) had initiated an investigation regarding the research assistant mentioned in the note and had assigned an inspector.
