Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated regarding the assassination of the country's religious leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, "This great crime will never go unanswered and will open a new chapter in the history of the Islamic world and Shiism. The pure blood of this high-ranking leader will flow like a roaring spring and will dry up the roots of American-Zionist oppression and crimes."

The President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, issued a written statement following the death of the country's religious leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in the US-Israel attacks. 

"THIS GREAT CRIME WILL NOT GO UNANSWERED"

Pezeshkian emphasized that they will not remain indifferent to Khamenei's assassination, stating, "This great crime will never go unanswered and will open a new chapter in the history of the Islamic world and Shiism. The pure blood of this high-ranking leader will flow like a roaring spring and will dry up the roots of American-Zionist oppression and crimes," he said. 

"WE WILL MAKE THE PERPETRATORS AND THOSE WHO ORDERED IT REGRET"

Reiterating that the US and Israel will pay a price, Pezeshkian stated, "This time, with all our strength and determination, and with the support of the Islamic Ummah and the free people of the world, we will make the perpetrators of this great crime and those who ordered it regret what they have done," he expressed. 

Pezeshkian also declared a 7-day official holiday in addition to a 40-day mourning period.
