The first statement of the 30-year-old mother, who caused the death of her 5-year-old son by throwing him into the sea under the pretext of wanting to "swim" in the Mudanya district of Bursa, has emerged. The mother, against whom a "deliberate murder" charge has been initiated, stated in her testimony, "I had psychological problems. We wanted to swim, then we wanted to die. I threw the child into the sea, and I jumped in too. Later, I came to the shore, I couldn't get the child out. I regret it."

A terrible incident occurred yesterday around 4:00 PM in the Güzelyalı Marina area of Mudanya district in Bursa. According to the information obtained, a woman named S.G. (30) came to the beach with her 5-year-old son, Muhammed Baran G.

According to allegations, the mother threw her small child, whom she was holding by the hand, into the sea and then jumped in herself. After a while, the woman managed to reach the shore on her own but could not retrieve her child. Upon the notification of those nearby, marine police and health teams were dispatched to the scene.

THE 5-YEAR-OLD CHILD DROWNED AND LOST HIS LIFE

As a result of the efforts of the teams, it was determined that 5-year-old Muhammed Baran G., who was pulled from the sea, had lost his life. The lifeless body of the small child was taken to the morgue of Mudanya State Hospital after the examination by the public prosecutor.
