The first comment from the CHP regarding the appointment of Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor Akın Gürlek to the Ministry of Justice came from Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir, who stated, "You will attempt to stage a coup against the national will through the judiciary, hide behind the shield of immunity, and think you will save yourself. There’s no way that will happen."
A change occurred in the presidential cabinet. With the decision published in the Official Gazette signed by President Erdoğan, Akın Gürlek, the Chief Public Prosecutor of Istanbul, was appointed as the Minister of Justice, replacing Yılmaz Tunç.

CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir reacted to the decision with a statement he made on his social media account after the appointment of Akın Gürlek, the Chief Public Prosecutor of Istanbul, as the Minister of Justice.
