In schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, 18 million students and 1.2 million teachers have returned to classes after the first mid-term break. According to the academic calendar, the first semester will end on January 16, 2026.
Approximately 18 million students and 1.2 million teachers in primary and secondary education institutions affiliated with the Ministry of National Education (MEB) resumed classes after the first mid-term break of this academic year. According to MEB's calendar, the first term mid-term break was held from November 10 to 14. Teachers completed their professional development programs online without going to school during the mid-term break. As of today, the first school bell rang for approximately 18 million students and 1.2 million teachers in the center and all districts after the mid-term break.
THE FIRST TERM OF EDUCATION WILL END ON JANUARY 16
The first term of the 2025-2026 academic year will end on January 16, 2026. The mid-term holiday will start on Monday, January 19, 2026, and will end on Friday, January 30, 2026. The second term will begin on Monday, February 2, and will continue until Friday, June 26. The second term mid-term break will start on March 16, 2026, and will end on March 20, 2026.
