In the investigation into the accident in which one person lost their life due to the collapse of scaffolding during metro construction in Beyoğlu, Istanbul, two individuals have been arrested.
In the ongoing metro construction in Beyoğlu, Istanbul, an investigation continues regarding the incident in which a worker lost his life and three others were injured due to the collapse of the scaffolding.
EXPERT REPORT PREPARED
According to the fault report prepared by the expert appointed by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on October 16, 2025, it was determined that B.Ç., the owner and authorized representative of the subcontractor company BMA Energy Engineering Construction Industry and Limited Company, and O.Ç., who served as the site chief in the same company, were primarily at fault in the occurrence of the accident. It was also determined that Selahattin Erdoğan, who lost his life in the accident, and four injured individuals were secondarily at fault.
SITE CHIEF AND COMPANY OWNER REMANDED IN CUSTODY
As part of the ongoing investigation, B.Ç., the owner of the subcontractor company BMA Energy Engineering Construction Industry and Limited Company, and O.Ç., the site chief of the same company, were taken into custody by police teams.
After their procedures at the police station, the suspects were referred to the Peace Criminal Court with a request for arrest on charges of 'Causing Death and Injury by Negligence.'
