The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the Israeli government's recent decision regarding land registration aimed at imposing its sovereignty in the occupied West Bank and expanding settlement activities. In a statement from the ministry, it was stated, "This step, which aims to forcibly displace the Palestinian people from their homeland and accelerate Israel's illegal annexation efforts, is a clear violation of international law and is null and void."
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a written statement regarding the Israeli government's decision on land registration aimed at imposing its sovereignty in the occupied West Bank and expanding settlement activities.
"IT IS A CLEAR VIOLATION OF INTERNATIONAL LAW AND IS VOID"
The statement included, "We strongly condemn the Israeli government's recent decision aimed at imposing its sovereignty in the occupied West Bank and expanding settlement activities. This step, which aims to forcibly displace the Palestinian people from their homeland and accelerate Israel's illegal annexation efforts, is a clear violation of international law and is void."
CALL TO THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY
The statement emphasized that Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories, and pointed out that the expansionist policies intensified by the government of Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in the occupied West Bank undermine ongoing peace efforts in the region and harm the perspective of a two-state solution.
The international community was called to demonstrate a firm stance against Israel's attempts to create a de facto situation, and it was noted that Turkey will continue to support efforts to establish an independent and sovereign State of Palestine with geographical integrity, with its capital in East Jerusalem, based on the 1967 borders.
