18-MONTH CONTRACT WITH VITOR PEREIRA
The club's statement indicated that an 18-month contract has been signed with the Portuguese coach, and it was noted that Pereira will be accompanied by Filipe Jorge Monteiro Almeida (Assistant Coach), Luis Miguel Moreira Da Silva (Assistant Coach), Bruno Filipe Araujo De Moura (Physical Performance and Opponent Analysis Manager), and Pedro Simao Capela Silva Lopes (Opponent Analyst) in the technical staff.
FOUR DIFFERENT COACHES IN A SINGLE SEASON
With 27 points, Nottingham Forest, in 17th place, made history as the first team to work with four different head coaches in a single Premier League season.
PEREIRA AND MOURINHO'S FENERBAHÇE CAREER
Pereira, who previously served two terms (2015-2016, 2021) at Fenerbahçe, reminded many of Jose Mourinho, who managed the yellow-navy team for a period, as he competes against his former team on the European stage. Mourinho, who signed an official contract with the yellow-navy club on June 2, 2024, parted ways after Fenerbahçe was eliminated by Benfica in the UEFA Champions League playoff round. Mourinho, who served as Fenerbahçe's head coach for 15 months, later signed a 2-year contract with Benfica, which advanced to the league stage of the Champions League.
WHEN IS THE MATCH?
The Turkish representative will host Nottingham Forest, the team of Pereira, whom they parted ways with on February 19, 2021, in the first match of the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 playoff.
