The foundation of the Yıldıztepe Youth Center was laid as part of a 4 billion TL sports investment made in the city by the Malatya Metropolitan Municipality with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The sports investments of Malatya Metropolitan Municipality continue unabated. With the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the foundation of the Yıldıztepe Youth Center in the Battalgazi district was laid yesterday as part of a total investment program of 4 billion TL for sports facilities.
'TOTAL INDOOR AREA 2,341 SQUARE METERS'
Expressing that Malatya is getting back on its feet, Malatya Metropolitan Mayor Sami Er stated that the construction of residential and commercial buildings in the city is progressing rapidly, saying, "We can say that Malatya is now getting back on its feet. We say 'it is rising,' but many things are being rebuilt. Our delivery of houses and workplaces continues."
Stating that the Yıldıztepe Youth Center, whose foundation has been laid, is planned to be multifunctional, Er said, "We are laying the foundation of the Yıldıztepe Youth Center. This will be a multifunctional youth center. There will be areas for sports activities as well as spaces like a library for cultural activities. The total indoor area is 2,341 square meters."
'4 BILLION TL SPORTS INVESTMENT'
Stating that they have been working towards making Malatya a city of sports and culture since the day they took office, Mayor Er said, "So far, we have made an investment of approximately 2.5 billion TL in the field of sports. There is also a new sports and culture investment planned for 2026, amounting to approximately 1.5 billion TL. Thus, we are bringing a total of approximately 4 billion TL in sports facility investments to Malatya."
6 INDOOR CARPET FIELDS WITH BASKETBALL AND VOLLEYBALL COURTS
Noting that 6 indoor carpet fields along with basketball and volleyball courts have been completed as part of the sports investments, Sami Er stated that the Başharık Youth Center and the Yıldıztepe Youth Center are also among the ongoing projects.
