The fugitive suspect who killed the mayor and his son was captured 19 years later.

As part of the investigation conducted by the İslahiye Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, teams from the District Police Department captured Lütfi Arslan, one of the perpetrators of the murder of former Kilis Mayor Ekrem Çetin (48) and his son Cahit Çetin, at the address where he was hiding.

HE HAD BEEN A FUGITIVE FOR 19 YEARS

Arslan, who had a confirmed 25-year prison sentence for "premeditated murder," had been wanted for 19 years and 6 months. After his processing at the District Police Department, Arslan will be handed over to prison.
