The schedule for the funeral ceremonies of Iran's former leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has been announced. The first ceremony will be held on July 4-5 at the Imam Khomeini Musalla Mosque in Tehran. FIRST CEREMONY TO BE HELD IN TEHRAN
Iranian media has announced the program for the funeral ceremonies of Iran's former leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who lost his life in attacks by the US and Israel against Iran.
Accordingly, the first funeral ceremony will be held on July 4-5 at the Imam Khomeini Grand Prayer Hall in the capital, Tehran.
SECOND CEREMONY ON JULY 6
Following the first ceremony, a second funeral ceremony will be held on July 6, again in Tehran. A large number of people from across the country are expected to attend the ceremonies.
CEREMONIES ALSO IN QOM AND MASHHAD
As part of the funeral program, ceremonies will be held on July 7 in the city of Qom and on July 9 in Mashhad.
TO BE LAID TO REST AT THE IMAM REZA SHRINE
After the ceremonies are completed, the body of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei will be buried in a prepared area within the Imam Reza Shrine in Mashhad.
