The garbage at the Buca Municipality Cleaning Works Directorate site overflowed onto the road after an effective downpour. The neighborhood head stated that the accumulated waste poses a health threat and requested urgent intervention from the authorities.
In Izmir, the garbage at the Buca Municipality Cleaning Works Directorate site was spread across the road after the effective downpour in the city. The garbage collected at the site on Journalist Writer İsmail Sivri Boulevard in Mustafa Kemal Neighborhood was carried to the boulevard and its surroundings by rainwater.
GARBAGE CAUSED BAD ODOR AND POLLUTION
The garbage caused bad odor and pollution in the area. The municipality teams started working to collect the scattered garbage. The neighborhood head Gökmen Yıldız stated that the accumulated garbage in the area threatens human health and creates an unbearable situation by spreading a bad odor.
"THE GARBAGE SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM HERE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE"
Yıldız, who noted that the accumulation and transportation of garbage in the construction site has been ongoing for a long time, argued that the relevant institutions have not produced a permanent solution and have remained indifferent to the situation. Yıldız reacted to the retention of garbage at the site, saying, "We request the authorities to remove this garbage from here as soon as possible."
