STATEMENT FROM THE GOVERNORSHIP
It was announced that temperatures are expected to remain below seasonal norms, with daytime temperatures anticipated to be between 2-5 degrees.
The statement indicated that the wind will blow strongly from the north and northeast, with maximum wind speeds reaching 40-60 kilometers per hour across the province, and provided the following information: "Temperatures in Istanbul are below seasonal norms, and snowfall and strong north winds continue to have an effect. In the following days, temperatures are expected to gradually rise, and precipitation is anticipated to turn to rain by mid-week.
Due to the expectation of strong winds (40-60 km/h) from the north and northeast (north wind) in the morning hours, it is necessary to be cautious and take precautions against negative impacts such as tree and pole falls, roof blow-offs, the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning from stoves and natural gas, and disruptions in transportation. It is recommended to be cautious against the negative effects that icing and strong winds may cause."
SNOWFALL WILL CONTINUE
The statement indicated that the weather in the city is expected to be partly very cloudy with intermittent snowfall tomorrow, with temperatures ranging from -1 to 4 degrees, partly very cloudy with intermittent rain on Wednesday, January 14, with temperatures between 3 and 10 degrees, partly cloudy on Thursday, January 15, with temperatures between 8 and 12 degrees, and partly cloudy on Friday, January 16, with temperatures between 7 and 12 degrees.
