ANIMALS COLLAPSED ONE AFTER ANOTHER
The incident occurred in the morning hours in the rural neighborhood of Kubacık, affiliated with the Çınar district. After animals that drank water from a pond in the region collapsed and died one after another in a short time, the situation was reported to authorities.
SUSPICION OF PESTICIDE
The suspected cause behind the mass deaths in the herd, identified as belonging to Resul Karadeniz, drew attention. According to claims and eyewitness accounts, the event unfolded as follows. Water containing chemical waste from an agricultural pesticide tank left near the pond was dumped, either carelessly or deliberately, into the pond where the animals drank. All 150 small livestock that drank the toxic water mixed with pesticide were poisoned and died at the scene.
COMPREHENSIVE INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED
Following the report of the mass animal deaths, gendarmerie and teams from the Çınar District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry were quickly dispatched to the scene. Teams from the Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry took samples from the water and the deceased animals to scientifically determine the exact cause of death and launched a detailed investigation. Resul Karadeniz, the owner of the animals who suffered a great financial loss, filed an official complaint against the person or persons who dumped chemical waste into the pond. The investigation conducted by the gendarmerie into the incident continues from multiple angles.
