A man living on the streets in the U.S. won 38 million lira from a lottery ticket he bought at a liquor store. Expressing his eagerness to escape the streets, the individual stated that he plans to use the money for a down payment on a house in the area and to buy a car.
An homeless man in California, USA, won 1 million dollars (38 million TL) from a lottery ticket he purchased at an alcohol store. According to reports in the press, the lucky winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, bought the scratch-off ticket from the store he has been a customer of for years.

The store manager, Wilson Samaan, said in a statement to KSBY: "He came into the store, scratched it, and said: 'Oh my God, is this real? Buddy, I'm not homeless anymore!'. I replied: 'Buddy, you hit the jackpot.'

According to The Guardian, the man initially thought he had won 100,000 dollars, but Samaan confirmed that he actually won 1 million dollars. Samaan then drove the man to Fresno to deliver the ticket in person. The winner stated that the prize has changed his life and that he plans to use the money for a down payment on a house in the area and for a car.

In a video published by a local business owner, the lucky man said: "I won a million dollars at Sandy's alcohol store in Slo, and yes, I can't wait to get off the streets."
