In the Kepez district of Antalya, a house where a family lived as tenants turned to ashes in a fire that broke out. The mother, who took her child who was sleeping in the house during the fire and went outside, saved their lives at the last moment.
On 4409 Street in Beşkonak Neighborhood of Kepez district, the day before yesterday, a fire broke out for a reason not yet determined in a shanty where a foreign family lived. While the mother and 2 children who were in the house at the time of the fire rushed out in panic, the flames that grew in a short time and enveloped the house were extinguished by the intervention of fire crews. The family's little daughter and older brother, who lived as tenants in the shanty, watched the burning of the house in flames and the extinguishing work of the fire crews in tears. While the mother tried to console her little daughter, the house became unusable in the fire.
THE LITTLE GIRL WAS SLEEPING IN THE ROOM
The foreign family took shelter with a relative residing in the same neighborhood. Ali Cüneydi, who examined the debris left from the fire and turned to ashes by the flames, stated that his daughter was sleeping in the room at the moment the fire started, and said, "We were sitting at home with my wife, my children, my mother and father. Everyone was in the garden of the house, one little daughter of mine was lying inside. When the fire broke out, my wife goes into the house. When she sees the flames, she takes the child out. She called me, I told her to turn off the breaker at the electricity meter. After taking the child out, she tried to go into the house to put out the fire. She did everything she could but could not extinguish it. They went outside to save their lives. Thank God, they saved their lives," he said.
THEIR SAVINGS OF 260 THOUSAND LIRAS ALSO BURNED
Stating that all their belongings burned and nothing remained, Cüneydi said, "What happened happened to the house, the flames ate the whole house and went, the house was completely reduced to ashes. We had everything in the house, we lacked nothing. Because the roof was wooden, the flames caught instantly. Right now we could not find a house to stay in, we are asking neighbors around. I hope we find one. All the belongings burned, we also had some saved money around 260 thousand TL, all of it burned," he said.
