In the Uğurludağ district of Çorum, an argument between two brothers reportedly over an inheritance issue ended in tragedy. In the incident that occurred in Tutpınar Neighborhood, Ziya Ü. fired a gun at his brother Mehmet Ü. during the argument. Mehmet Ü., who was seriously wounded, died at Uğurludağ State Hospital despite all medical interventions. After the incident, the suspect Ziya Ü., who had fled, was apprehended by police teams and taken into custody.
The inheritance dispute brought two brothers face to face in the Uğurludağ district of Çorum. According to the allegations, the argument that started between Ziya Ü. and his brother Mehmet Ü., who had an inheritance disagreement between them, quickly turned into a fight. It was reported that as the fight escalated, Ziya Ü. fired at his brother with the gun he had with him.
The incident occurred in Tutpınar Neighborhood of Uğurludağ district yesterday evening.
INHERITANCE ARGUMENT QUICKLY TURNED INTO A FIGHT
According to the information obtained, the two brothers had been having a disagreement over inheritance for some time. It was stated that the verbal argument that started again between Ziya Ü. and Mehmet Ü. gradually grew, and the parties began to fight.
During the fight, it was alleged that Ziya Ü. fired a gun at his brother Mehmet Ü. As Mehmet Ü. was hit by the bullet and collapsed to the ground, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon the reports of those around.
COULD NOT BE SAVED DESPITE ALL INTERVENTIONS AT THE HOSPITAL
Medical teams provided first aid to the seriously injured Mehmet Ü. at the scene. Then, Mehmet Ü. was taken to Uğurludağ State Hospital by ambulance and was treated in the emergency room.
All the interventions made by the doctors to save Mehmet Ü. did not yield results. As Mehmet Ü. lost his life in the hospital, the incident turned into a murder investigation.
It was stated that Ziya Ü., who allegedly shot his brother, left the area after the incident. Police teams initiated a large-scale operation in the vicinity to capture the suspect.
As a result of the operations, Ziya Ü. was captured and taken into custody in a short time. The suspect was taken to the police station for his statement and to complete the procedures.
