President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed the 79th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN). In his speech, Erdoğan reacted to Israel for the massacre in Gaza and to the entire world for remaining silent. Erdoğan stated, "We regret to see that in recent years, the UN has been inadequate in fulfilling its founding mission. We need the values represented by the slogan 'The world is greater than five' more than ever these days. Over 41,000 Palestinians have lost their lives in the attacks in Gaza. Journalists and health workers have been killed. UN personnel have been killed. They targeted mosques and churches that should not be touched even in war. From the UN podium, they shamelessly challenged the whole world from this podium," he said. "WE SUPPORT EVERY KIND OF CASE THAT IS NECESSARY"In his speech, Erdoğan also referred to the genocide case opened against Israel. Erdoğan stated, "Those who killed 41,000 people cannot find peace in their conscience without being held accountable for the crimes they committed, from the one who gave the order to the one who pulled the trigger. We support the case opened at the International Court of Justice to ensure that the crimes committed by Israel do not go unpunished. We will take every necessary step," he said. THEY LISTENED TO ERDOĞAN LIKE THISIn his speech, President Erdoğan compared Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to Hitler, stating, "The Israeli administration is committing ethnic cleansing and blatant genocide against a nation, disregarding fundamental human rights, and occupying its lands. Just as Hitler was stopped by the alliance of humanity 70 years ago, Netanyahu and his murder gang must also be stopped by the alliance of humanity," he said. During Erdoğan's speech, the tense demeanor of the Israeli representatives at the UN was captured by cameras.
