The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that Tesla is recalling certain 2024-2025 Model 3 and Model S, 2023-2025 Model X, and 2023-2025 Model Y vehicles.
"COLLISION RISK MAY INCREASE" WARNING
The statement indicated that in the affected vehicles, a short circuit in the computer circuit board could cause the rearview camera image to be lost, emphasizing that this would reduce the driver's rear visibility and increase the risk of collision.
UPDATE RELEASED
The statement noted that the potential number of vehicles affected by the recall is 239,382, and that Tesla has released a software update that can be performed remotely to resolve the issue free of charge.
It was also stated that Tesla will identify all vehicles that have or may have circuit board failures, and these computers will be replaced free of charge.
