New details have emerged in the murder of Aynur Kanbur, a dancer from the Mezdeke group who was killed in Şişli 10 years ago. It was determined that Bülent Gündüz, who confessed to committing the murder because she worked as a dancer, had previously assaulted someone for "not liking their movements," and a long-barreled weapon and gas mask were found in his home. Footage from moments before the murder, where he removed the SIM card from his phone and turned it off on a metrobus, has also been added to the case file.

The investigations initiated regarding the murder of Aynur Kanbur, a dancer from the 'Mezdeke' group, who was killed in front of her home on Narçiçeği Street in Fulya Neighborhood, Şişli, Istanbul, on March 24, 2016, are ongoing from multiple angles. New details have emerged in the work conducted by the Homicide Bureau teams of the Public Order Branch Directorate.

It has been determined that the suspect Bülent Gündüz, who was detained 10 years after the incident, confessed to committing the murder, and described how the event took place, had assaulted another person in the past saying, 'I didn't like their mannerisms.' In his statement, the suspect, who commented on Kanbur's lifestyle, said he had previously assaulted someone due to their inappropriate behavior.

LONG-BARRELED GUN FOUND IN HIS HOME

During searches at the home of murder suspect Bülent Gündüz, a long-barreled gun as well as a gas mask were found. Police teams have initiated an examination of the seized materials.

Bülent Gündüz, in his statement to the police, claimed that he threw the gun used in the murder into the sea. In investigations related to the suspect, it was also learned that after the murder, an unlicensed pistol was found during a body search, and legal proceedings were initiated against him for 'carrying an unlicensed weapon.'

NEW FOOTAGE EMERGED

New footage emerged during the ongoing investigations. In the metrobus security camera recordings reviewed by the Homicide Bureau teams, the murder suspect Bülent Gündüz is seen boarding the metrobus from Avcılar to commit the murder. The suspect, who sits on the far right seat in the metrobus, is seen traveling for a while, then performing an operation on his cell phone, followed by removing the SIM card and turning off the device. According to HTS records, the suspect's phone remained off for a whole day.
