In Zonguldak, a pickup truck whose driver parked and went to distribute water hit 4-year-old kindergarten student Sarp Eymen Darıcı. Darıcı lost his life, while the truck driver Ömer S. (21) was taken into custody.
PARKED ON A SLOPE
The accident occurred around 12:30 in front of Ahmet Erdoğan Kindergarten on Işık Yönder Street in Bahçelievler Neighborhood. Ömer S. parked the water distribution truck with license plate 67 DD 908 on the slope in front of the kindergarten and went to deliver water to the school.
STARTED MOVING SUDDENLY
At that moment, the moving truck hit Sarp Eymen Darıcı, who was coming out of the school, and then crashed into two parked vehicles. Little Sarp, who was seriously injured, was taken to Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Hospital by a car. Despite the interventions, Sarp Eymen Darıcı could not be saved.
While the public prosecutor was conducting an investigation at the scene, driver Ömer S. was taken into custody, and the cries of the small child's family were heart-wrenching.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
