In Istanbul, due to the heavy downpour, the factory area on Cendere Road, which connects Kağıthane, Sarıyer, and Eyüpsultan, was flooded. Many vehicles were submerged in the water, while stranded citizens were evacuated by fire crews using boats. The scale of the disaster was captured by drone.

The heavy downpour, whose impact intensified across Istanbul, virtually paralyzed Cendere road, a critical transportation route connecting the districts of Kağıthane, Sarıyer, and Eyüpsultan. The floods that occurred after the downpour brought commercial life and transportation in the region to a standstill.

FACTORY DISTRICT LEFT UNDER WATER

In the factories area on the Kemerburgaz Cendere road, where the rainfall was felt most severely, a large pool of water formed as a result of the overflow of the stream and infrastructure channels. Hundreds of parked and moving vehicles in the area where industrial facilities and factories are located were completely submerged in water.

FIRE BRIGADE CONDUCTS BOAT EVACUATION OPERATION

After the water level reached dangerous dimensions, numerous fire brigade and search-and-rescue teams were dispatched to the region. Fire brigade teams entered areas where land access had become impossible by boat and evacuated stranded citizens and workers to safe areas.

THE SCALE OF THE HORROR IN DRONE FOOTAGE

The flooded factories area and dozens of vehicles submerged in water were captured from the air by drone. The teams' water drainage, search, and rescue efforts in the region continue without interruption.
