In Ankara, police officer Melih Okan Keskin took his car to the TÜVTÜRK vehicle inspection station in the İvedikköy neighborhood of Yenimahalle district on Monday for a routine inspection.
ASSAULTED
A dispute broke out between Keskin and the station employees, which escalated into a fight. During the altercation, Keskin was assaulted by the employees.
DIED FROM A BRAIN HEMORRHAGE
Melih Okan Keskin, who was taken to Gazi University Hospital, died three days later from a brain hemorrhage. Two employees of the vehicle inspection station, Y.K. and S.A., were detained in connection with the incident. After their procedures at the police station, Y.K. was released under judicial control, while S.A. was arrested.
