Images from the final moments of Usman Amriev, a Chechen national and Russian citizen whose body was found in a wooded area in Sarıyer with a black garbage bag over his head, have emerged. The footage shows Amriev entering the dormitory where he was staying in Bahçeköy and later leaving the dormitory in the evening, after which he disappeared. It is noteworthy that Amriev was holding a piece of paper in the footage, and it was determined that he arrived alone at the location where he was found dead.
On July 28, around 09:30 in Bahçeköy, a district of Sarıyer in Istanbul, a passerby noticed a person lying motionless in a wooded area. Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The teams, which arrived shortly, took precautions by cordoning off the area. Health teams determined that the person lying motionless on the ground had passed away.
FOUND DEAD WITH A PLASTIC BAG OVER HIS HEAD
Crime scene investigation teams found a plastic bag over the head of the male corpse, which was taped. It was also determined that there was packing tape, a note in Russian, and a black shoulder bag containing a mobile phone, an Istanbul transportation card, money, and various items next to the body. After the investigation by the Public Prosecutor, the body of the person, who is thought to have been strangled, was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute Morgue.
IDENTIFIED THROUGH DORM CARD
Police teams that initiated work related to the incident identified the dormitory where he stayed based on the door card found in the bag. The police, who conducted an investigation here, determined that the body belonged to Usman Amriev (20), a Russian citizen. It was also revealed that the note found in his hand was typed on a computer.

In the note examined by the police teams, it was written, "My dear mother, I hope these words never reach you. Because I will be slandered, do not believe them. If this letter has reached you, it means I am dead. I swear that I only sought the truth, but it all came to nothing. I will not be remembered as one of the scholars in history. They will not write me in the books, but everyone will face their own punishment. I beg you, do not let them bury me as a follower." It was also found that the 153rd verse of Surah Al-Baqarah from the Quran was written in Arabic letters in the continuation of the note.
MOVED FROM KÜTAHYA TO ISTANBUL
Police teams continuing their investigations related to the incident learned that Usman Amriev came to Turkey for education about 3 years ago. It was learned that Amriev, who studied for half a term at a state university in Kütahya, later moved to Istanbul. It was determined that Amriev started studying at a private university in Kağıthane.
ROUTE OF ARRIVAL IDENTIFIED
Police teams examining the Istanbul Card found on Amriev started working on security camera footage from the past. In the investigations, it was learned that Amriev stayed at a private dormitory in Bahçeköy. It was determined that hours before the incident, Amriev entered a stationery store in Mecidiyeköy, left the store with a piece of paper, went to the dormitory where he stayed, and then took a bus from Mecidiyeköy, getting off at Hacıosman.
LAST IMAGES EMERGED
It was learned that Amriev, who got back on the IETT bus in Hacıosman, got off in Bahçeköy and entered the dormitory where he stayed. It was reported that Amriev's cousin, who lives abroad, said that he last went to the bank to withdraw money and that he had not heard from him since. As a result of the findings obtained, ongoing investigations revealed that Usman Amriev left the dormitory alone in the evening hours. The examination revealed that Amriev came to the place where he was found dead alone and that no one was with him. It was learned that Usman Amriev, whose autopsy was completed at the Forensic Medicine Institute, had taken his own life. Meanwhile, the last images of Amriev emerged. In the footage, Amriev is seen entering the dormitory where he stayed in Bahçeköy, holding a piece of paper, and disappearing after leaving the dormitory in the evening hours.
