The last moments of 16-year-old Tuana Torun, the victim in the case against CHP's Görele Mayor Hasbi Dede, who is being tried for harassment allegations, have emerged. In the footage, the young girl walking on the road encounters a crash filled with question marks that are out of the camera's view after she eventually reaches the Görele coastal road.
FAREWELL TO HER LAST JOURNEY The young girl's body was taken from the hospital and brought to Hasanağa Mosque in the center of Görele district. Her mother, Nuray Torun, wept while holding her daughter's picture at the head of the coffin, occasionally fainting.
A funeral prayer was held for the young girl after the noon prayer today. Görele District Governor İbrahim Civelek, Provincial Special Administration Secretary Tolga Erener, her father Ahmet Torun, relatives, friends from Görele Anatolian High School, and teachers attended the funeral prayer.
After the funeral prayer, Torun was laid to rest in the family cemetery in Sağlık village, which is affiliated with the district.
WHAT HAPPENED? The accident occurred on Saturday, March 28, around 11:00 PM in the Görele district. The car driven by A.H. (23), who was traveling from Giresun to Trabzon, hit Tuana Torun (16), who was trying to cross the road.
Upon the notification of the surrounding people, health and police teams were dispatched to the area. After the initial intervention by the health teams, Tuana Torun was taken to Giresun Education and Research Hospital, where her brain death occurred on March 30, and her organs were donated by her family.
THE DRUNK DRIVER WAS ARRESTED The driver A.H., who was alleged to be under the influence of alcohol, was arrested by the court he was brought before. It was determined that A.H., who was driving fast on the night of the accident, applied the brakes after the crash and was able to stop 34 meters ahead of the accident site. It is being investigated whether the accident was due to the 'carelessness of the drunk driver' or if it was a 'premeditated murder' resulting from the harassment allegations.
