The only child of Gülizar and İsmail Şeşen, 4-year-old Nazlı Şeşen, who lives in Kocabaş Neighborhood of Honaz district in Denizli, went missing while playing in front of her house yesterday afternoon. Upon the family's report that they could not find Şeşen, gendarmerie, AFAD, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the area.
LAST SEEN WALKING ON THE RAILWAY
In the investigation, it was determined that Nazlı Şeşen was last seen leaving her house and walking on the railway in front of their home, after which she went missing, as reflected in the footage from a security camera of a house. It was considered that Şeşen might have fallen into the stream while heading towards the bridge over Aksu Stream as seen in the camera footage.
SLIPPERS FOUND
The divers from the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department entered the stream to search. During this time, slippers belonging to Nazlı Şeşen were found by the stream. Due to the high flow rate of the stream, the gates at Akbaş Dam, which feeds Aksu Stream, were closed. The Gendarmerie Command's Public Order Commando Team, along with the Honaz Gendarmerie Station teams and a gendarmerie search dog, participated in the operations in the area. Additionally, many people joined the search efforts to find Şeşen. The searches continued throughout the night.
On the second day of the search and rescue operations, approximately 500 personnel from the Gendarmerie, AFAD, Denizli Metropolitan Fire Department, non-governmental organizations, and local residents continued the search on land over an area of 50 kilometers. An Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and a gyroplane from the Aydın Gendarmerie Fleet Command scanned a 15-kilometer area along Aksu Stream from the air. 30 divers also formed a line in Aksu Stream and conducted underwater searches. The Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, CHP Denizli Deputy Gülizar Biçer Karaca, Denizli Governor Ömer Faruk Coşkun, and Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Hıdır Ayçiçek also came to the area to receive information about the operations.
