Ali Erkul, who lives in the İpekyolu district of Van, lost his balance and fell into a pit while walking on the road. He called the 112 Emergency Call Center for help using his mobile phone, but before he could tell them his location, he lost consciousness. Thanks to the signal from his phone, the fire department teams were able to locate him after 4.5 hours of work, and he was taken to the hospital.

An interesting incident occurred late at night in the Vali Mithat Bey neighborhood of the İpekyolu district in Van. While walking on the road, Ali Erkul lost his balance and fell into a pit approximately 4 meters deep.

FAINTED AFTER FALLING INTO THE PIT

Shortly after regaining consciousness, Erkul called the 112 Emergency Call Center with his mobile phone to request help. However, the fainted Erkul did not inform the teams of the address of the area he was in. Upon the notification, health, fire brigade affiliated with the Metropolitan Municipality, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area. Search efforts involving 4 vehicles and 14 firefighters were conducted with the help of flashlights.

The location of Erkul, who fainted after falling into the pit, was determined by the gendarmerie using the mobile phone signal. Subsequently, the fire brigade teams began efforts to rescue the injured Erkul. After 4.5 hours of work, Ali Erkul was pulled out of the pit he fell into and was taken to the hospital by ambulance after the intervention of the medical personnel. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
