In the Inegol district of Bursa, a 62-year-old forest worker's 6 fingers were severed when they got stuck between the chain he wanted to bind the logs with.
In the İnegöl district of Bursa, a forest worker whose hands were trapped in a chain in a forested area lost 6 fingers.
HANDS TRAPPED BETWEEN LOG AND CHAIN
The incident occurred in a forested area in İclaliye Neighborhood. According to the information obtained, forest worker Remzi U. (62) wanted to tie a chain around a log. At that moment, the log shifted from its place, trapping both of the worker's hands between the chain and the log. In the accident, Remzi U.'s 6 fingers were severed.
Upon the notification, 112 Emergency Health and Gendarmerie Command teams were dispatched to the scene. After first aid at the scene, the injured worker was taken to İnegöl State Hospital by ambulance.
FINGERS WILL BE REATTACHED
After receiving initial treatment at the hospital, the injured worker was referred to Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine Hospital by ambulance to have the severed fingers reattached.
Gendarmerie teams have launched an investigation into the incident.
