As part of the "Corruption" investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a total of 44 people have been issued detention orders. The police from the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Unit carried out simultaneous operations at numerous addresses in the morning. 40 suspects were detained. Among those detained is İnan Güney, the Mayor of Beyoğlu.

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office stated, "Within the scope of the ongoing investigation file regarding the corruption at İBB,



the suspect Murat ONGUN, who is accused of managing a criminal organization for profit, extortion, bribery, fraud to the detriment of a public institution, and unlawfully obtaining personal data, along with the fugitive suspect Emrah BAĞDATLI, and Media A.Ş and Kültür A.Ş, which are linked to many fraudulent activities within İBB, including 35 suspects, among whom is Beyoğlu Mayor İnan GÜNEY, as well as a total of 44 suspects, including 9 suspects identified as part of the social media structure of the criminal organization for profit operating under the control of Murat ONGUN and linked to the fugitive suspect Emrah BAĞDATLI, have been issued detention orders," the statement said.
