Özlem Çerçioğlu, who resigned from the CHP and joined the ranks of the AK Party, stated in her speech to those in the hall, "There are some allegations against me. Today, Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu announced her resignation from the CHP through a statement on her social media account and wore the AK Party badge. In her speech addressed to those in the hall during the ceremony, Çerçioğlu used striking expressions.
"MY FOREHEAD IS CLEAN, MY HEAD IS HELD HIGH"
Çerçioğlu, who said, "If there are allegations against me, let them explain," stated, "I am not afraid of being judged. My forehead is clean, my head is held high! I do not find the problems I have experienced appropriate from a political ethics perspective, but if necessary, I will explain them one by one. My only concern is to serve my country and Aydın. From now on, I will continue to serve with you, under the auspices of my esteemed President," she said.
HERE IS HER FIRST REQUEST
Continuing her words, Çerçioğlu requested support for urban transformation from President Erdoğan, saying, "Mr. President, Aydın is a first-degree earthquake zone. From now on, I want to initiate an urban transformation mobilization with your support; I wish it to be auspicious from now on!"
ERDOĞAN'S RESPONSE TO CRITICISMS
President Erdoğan also responded to the criticisms directed at Özlem Çerçioğlu by saying, "Since yesterday, I say to those who attack the new members of the AK Party family in an immoral and rude manner, 'get out of here.' They are acting as executioners of honor to cover up the foul smells coming from their own homes."
