Hasbi Dede, the mayor of Görele from the CHP, was re-arrested following an appeal by the prosecutor's office in an investigation regarding allegations of harassing an individual on social media. Dede was detained by the court to which he was brought.
Hasbi Dede, the mayor of Görele from the CHP, was arrested as part of an investigation into allegations of sexual harassment. An objection was made to his release under a travel ban during the statement-taking process.
OBJECTION TO HIS RELEASE
An objection was filed by the public prosecutor regarding the court's decision to release CHP Mayor Dede, who was questioned two days ago as part of the ongoing investigation and whose arrest was requested, under a travel ban.
ARREST DECISION ISSUED
After the criminal court found the objection valid, Dede went to the courthouse once again. Following his questioning before the judge, a decision was made to arrest him.
Before going to the courthouse, Dede stated on his social media account, "There are allegations reflected in the public regarding an investigation against me. First of all, I want to clearly express that protecting the family that is the subject of these allegations is my utmost priority during this process. However, I want you to know that I am also one of the victims of this incident."
