The Urban Transformation Directorate, affiliated with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, has put 607 plots of land for sale in 51 provinces, which are owned by the ministry. Among the sold lands are agricultural lands, forested lands, tourism facilities, and mass housing areas. According to the published announcement, the lands will be sold through an auction method. TOKİ transferred a total of 882 plots, covering an area of 8 million 543 thousand 235 square meters, with a base price of 19 billion 944 million 922 thousand 589 lira, through an auction held on November 27-28-29, 2024. During the three-day auction, buyers of the plots were offered options of a 25% down payment with 48 months installment or a 40% down payment with 36 months installment.
