The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned Israel's attacks on Syria's Quneitra and Daraa regions. The Ministry stated that international law and the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement have been violated.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned Israel's attacks on Quneitra and Daraa, which violate Syria's territorial integrity, unity, and sovereignty.

"ATTACKS ARE A CLEAR VIOLATION OF INTERNATIONAL LAW"

In a written statement from the Ministry, the following expressions were included:

"We strongly condemn Israel's attacks on Quneitra and Daraa, which violate Syria's territorial integrity, unity, and sovereignty. These attacks, which disregard the safety of life and property of the Syrian people and make the lives of civilians in the region increasingly difficult, constitute a clear violation of international law and the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement."

The statement called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities to end the attacks targeting Syria's progress since December 2024 and the stability of the region.

ISRAEL'S ATTACKS AGAINST SYRIA

Israeli occupation forces opened fire on villagers while withdrawing from the town of Abidin in the western countryside of Daraa province in southern Syria. According to the Syrian News Agency (SANA), Israeli forces opened fire on civilians while withdrawing from the town of Abidin.

Residents of the town blocked the roads leading to Abidin with stones to prevent a renewed infiltration by Israeli occupation forces.

Israeli forces targeted the town of Abidin with artillery fire. It was noted that two helicopters belonging to Israeli forces were flying at low altitude over the Quneitra and Daraa countryside.
