Aydın's Köşk district, "Hanımağa" nicknamed Gülsüm Çoban (47), who was believed to have been kidnapped by animal thieves after disappearing with nearly 50 sheep, has emerged. Following news reports about her being missing, Çoban contacted the gendarmerie teams, stating, "I was not kidnapped; I took my animals and ran away due to a disagreement with my husband." Gülsüm Çoban, who has been showcasing her traditional clothing at events organized to promote Yörük culture and is recognized as "Aydın's Efe Hanımağası," disappeared a couple of days ago. "I DID NOT DISAPPEAR"According to a report in Yeni Asır, relatives of Çoban noticed that the sheep and goats she was herding in the pastures were also missing from the barn, and they filed a missing person report with the gendarmerie for Gülsüm Çoban, from whom they had not heard. Upon receiving the tip, the Köşk District Gendarmerie Command teams initiated an operation. When Hanımağa Gülsüm Çoban saw the news about her being searched for as missing, she reached out to the gendarmerie teams. According to the information she provided to the gendarmerie, Çoban stated that she was not kidnapped by anyone, saying, "I did not disappear. No one kidnapped me. I was having disagreements with my husband. That's why I loaded the animals registered in my name onto a truck and ran away. I'm fine; no one should worry." After reaching Çoban, the gendarmerie teams halted their search efforts.
