During a search-and-rescue operation in a cave in the Pençe-Kilit Operation area, Infantry Contracted Private Celalettin Uyanık, who was exposed to methane gas, was martyred and was laid to rest in his hometown of Bitlis amid tears. During the ceremony, the martyr's mother, speaking with Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, sent her regards to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
A ceremony was held at Ersan Mosque for Infantry Contracted Private Celalettin Uyanık, one of the 12 soldiers who became martyrs after being affected by methane gas during a search-and-rescue operation in a cave in the Pençe-Kilit Operation area.
BURIED AMID TEARS
After the funeral prayer, the 24-year-old martyr's body was buried in the village of Dereyolu in the Mutki district amid tears.
THE MARTYR'S PHOTO AND TURKISH FLAG WERE PRESENTED TO HIS FATHER
During the funeral ceremony, the martyr's relatives, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, AK Party Bitlis Deputy Turan Bedirhanoğlu, and Bitlis Governor Ahmet Karakaya presented a Turkish flag and a photo of his son to the martyr's father, Cafer Uyanık.
THE MARTYR'S MOTHER SENT GREETINGS TO PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN
Meanwhile, the martyr's mother sent greetings to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan through Minister Uraloğlu during the ceremony. Speaking in Kurdish, the martyr's mother said, "I kiss him from his eyes. May God accept the goodness of you all. Long live the homeland." It was seen that Uraloğlu kissed the hand of the martyr Uyanık's mother after she finished speaking.
