The mothers from Diyarbakır, who are holding a sit-in in front of the former HDP provincial building for their children who were abducted to the mountains, continue their vigil to reunite with their children. Expressing that their children have been taken from them, Elhaman said, "As mothers, we will not give up our protest. We will be here until our children return. Hopefully, my son will come, and we will reunite. We will all experience this joy together as mothers." Elhaman called on her son to surrender to the security forces.

Mother Sariye Tokay stated that she is determined to continue the sit-in protest to reunite with her son Mehmet. Tokay said, "Eid al-Adha is approaching. Hopefully, we will take our children and celebrate a double holiday. As parents, we are longing for our children; they should give us our children."
