In the Ünye district of Ordu, motorcyclist Erhan Yaman, who was severely injured after a car struck his motorcycle from behind, which had crashed into a passenger bus stopped in the emergency lane due to a breakdown, died in the hospital.

The accident occurred on the State Coastal Road in the Cevizdere neighborhood of Ünye district. According to the information obtained, the intercity passenger bus with license plate 52 AAD 321, driven by M.A., traveling from Istanbul to the Kumru district of Ordu, stopped on the emergency lane due to a breakdown. While trying to fix the breakdown on the bus, the motorcycle with license plate 52 ADN 606, driven by Erhan Yaman (39), traveling in the same direction, first crashed into the broken-down bus. The motorcycle, thrown off balance by the impact, was then hit by the car with license plate 52 AHM 563, driven by O.A., coming from behind. Due to the force of the impact, the motorcycle was flung 5 meters away, while the driver Erhan Yaman, hit by the car, was dragged approximately 35 meters.

TAKEN TO HOSPITAL

Citizens in the vicinity who witnessed the accident reported the incident to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the report, health and police teams were dispatched to the area. The seriously injured motorcycle driver, Yaman, was taken to Ünye State Hospital by ambulance after initial intervention by health teams at the scene.

HE WAS A FATHER OF 2 CHILDREN

Yaman, who was learned to be a father of 2 children, lost his life despite all interventions at the hospital.

Due to the accident, traffic flow on the State Coastal Road was provided in a controlled manner on a single lane for approximately 1 hour. Fatsa Regional Traffic Supervision Station Directorate and Ünye District Police Department Crime Scene Investigation teams conducted detailed examinations in the area.

After the vehicles involved in the accident were removed and the investigations were completed, traffic returned to normal, and an investigation was launched into the incident.
