The number of detainees in the 'NATO Summit' operations has risen to 178.

Coordinated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 7 of the 225 suspects detained in the investigation against terrorist organizations before the NATO Summit were released after police statements, 6 after prosecutor statements, while a total of 178 people were arrested and 34 were placed under house arrest.

Under the coordination of the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, within the scope of efforts to uncover the activities and actions of terrorist organizations across the country before the NATO Summit, 225 out of 241 identified suspects were detained.

NUMBER OF DETAINEES RISES TO 178

Of the detained suspects, 212 were referred to the Criminal Judgeship of Peace with a request for arrest on charges of "being a member of a terrorist organization," while 6 were released by the chief prosecutor's office.

Following the interrogation by the Criminal Judgeship of Peace, 178 suspects were arrested, and judicial control measures were imposed on 34 others.

Of the 225 people detained before the NATO Summit, 103 were arrested yesterday, 26 were released under house arrest, and 6 were released after the prosecutor's interrogation.
