While experts note that chicken meat prices in Turkey have increased by 50 percent in euro terms over the period, recent operations targeting the red meat sector have revealed that both sectors are under scrutiny, contrary to claims.

Following the investigation into Istanbul-based white meat producers, an infographic titled "Chicken meat prices in Europe" circulated on social media and various WhatsApp groups, sparking debate.

Examinations revealed that the infographic was prepared by Picodi, a digital platform offering free discount coupons, and dates back to August 2023.

PRICES IN TURKEY ROSE BY 50 PERCENT IN EURO TERMS

Experts, noting that the data is outdated, stated that prices in Turkey have increased by approximately 50 percent in euro terms over the intervening period, and Turkey's position on the list has completely changed.
