In the Kovancılar district of Elazığ, a car overturned after the driver lost control. In the accident, a 78-year-old grandfather and his 19-year-old grandson lost their lives, while two other people were injured.

A heartbreaking accident occurred late at night in the Akmezra village area on the Elazığ-Bingöl highway. The car with license plate 34 GR 8797, which was under the control of G.T., overturned by the roadside.

In the accident, Sabri Tartar (78) and his grandson Salih Tartar (19) lost their lives, while G.T. and N.T. were also injured. Upon notification from bystanders, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured were taken to the hospital after the first intervention. The bodies of the grandfather and grandson were taken to the hospital morgue for autopsy. An investigation has been initiated regarding the accident.
