STRUCK BY A STRAY BULLET IN THE WEDDING
The incident occurred on October 11, 2025, in the Cincin neighborhood. According to allegations, Hilmi Bahar, who attended a relative's wedding ceremony, felt pain in his leg while sitting. Upon realizing that his leg was bleeding, Bahar was taken to the hospital, where it was determined that he had been hit by a stray bullet.
The bullet, located under the skin, was removed two days later during an operation and sent for ballistic examination. The gendarmerie, which initiated an investigation into the incident, seized the wedding's camera footage. Individuals who were seen on camera firing into the air during the wedding were taken into investigation.
COMMISSIONER ARRESTED
The ballistic report confirmed that the bullet had come from the gun of Commissioner Ümit A., who was on duty at the Aydın Provincial Police Department and attended the wedding that day. Ümit A., who was detained and brought to court, was arrested last Thursday and sent to prison.
