After a while, the station was filled with thick black smoke. For safety reasons, metro services were temporarily halted. Station staff and emergency response teams quickly intervened in the fire.

Authorities stated that the exploding power bank had been purchased only a month ago, had the mandatory safety certification required in China, and was not in use at the time of the incident.
