A person who shared footage of a woman in a hijab riding an electric scooter with the note "An ordinary day in Başakşehir" drew reactions. Comments such as "What’s strange about this? Is it because she’s wearing a hijab?" were made under the quickly viral video.

While riding an electric scooter in traffic in Başakşehir, Istanbul, a person recorded a woman in a chador with a mobile phone camera and shared it with the note "A regular day in Başakşehir," which drew significant backlash.

"THERE'S NOTHING STRANGE ABOUT THIS"

The reaction to the chador-clad woman using an electric scooter as if it were an abnormal situation, and its dissemination on social media, led to comments under the video such as "Is the point that has news value her wearing a chador?", "They are sharing it as if it's a very strange event," and "There's nothing strange about this."
